Mitsubishi Motors reveals all-new Outlander PHEV

On October 25, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation unveiled the next-generation Outlander PHEV. As Mitsubishi's flagship vehicle, Outlander PHEV adopts the bold design of the all-new, award-winning, best-selling 2022 Outlander and combines it with a new plug-in hybrid drivetrain. With more power, more all-electric range and the latest version of Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), Mitsubishi's signature all-wheel drive system, the all-new Outlander PHEV will be available in the United States in late 2022.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Awarded Highest Safety Rating by IIHS

The all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander was awarded the highest safety rating, TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+), by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The all-new Outlander offers an impressive array of standard and available advanced driver assistance systems to increase driver convenience, confidence and safety. MI-PILOT Assist integrates Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Traffic Sign Recognition to maintain appropriate speed and following distance and keep the vehicle in the center of the lane.

Mitsubishi Ranks Third Overall in J.D. Power 2021 Initial Quality Study

MMNA placed third among the 32 automotive brands in the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), which measures consumer sentiment following 90 days of new vehicle ownership. Rounding out Mitsubishi Motors' IQS success, the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport finished second in its class.

Redesigned 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross achieves 5-Star Overall Safety Rating in NHTSA crash testing

The redesigned and sporty 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross recently received a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This rating is the highest-possible overall rating a vehicle can obtain.

Mitsubishi Invites SUV Buyers to Get "Thunderstruck" by The All-New 2022 Outlander

From rock to pop to house to alternative, music has been a diverse and integral part of the historic advertising of Mitsubishi vehicles. And with MMNA's recent move to Music City – Nashville, Tenn. – the three-diamond brand doubled down on that strategy to introduce its all-new flagship vehicle. The company recently announced plans linking the unmistakably bold 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander with the immediately recognizable strains of AC/DC's iconic and edgy "Thunderstruck."

Mitsubishi Motors Team #207 Successfully Completes Rebelle Rally

Mitsubishi Motors returned to the Rebelle Rally in October, continuing a three-year partnership with veterans charity Record the Journey (RTJ). Team RTJ piloted an all-new 2022 Outlander through the nine-day, 2500-km, off-road navigational competition, with support from Mitsubishi and the nonprofit, which is dedicated to helping service members successfully transition to civilian life.

The team, consisting of sisters-in-law Selena "Mason" Converse and Erin Mason, Air Force and Navy combat veterans, respectively, were joined by Sammy, Mason's PTSD-trained service dog – the first-ever four-legged Rebelle. Sammy helped Mason through tough and triggering conditions during the rally and helped raise awareness for PTSD and the potentially lifesaving work that service dogs perform for veterans and many others.  

In the months leading up 2021 Rebelle Rally, Mitsubishi introduced the team and designed and then showcased a 2022 Outlander with a throwback livery that honored Jutta Kleinschmidt's historic win at the 2001 Dakar Rally in a Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero, becoming the first – and still only – woman ever to win that world-famous event.

Mitsubishi Motors is Most-Improved Brand in Reputation.com ‘2021 Automotive Reputation Report'

Mitsubishi Motors was the most improved U.S. brand in the "2021 Automotive Reputation Report" from Reputation.com, an analysis of 35,000 automotive OEM brands, dealer groups and dealerships across the United States, Canada and Europe. Mitsubishi Motors ranked fourth this year among 19 non-luxury automotive brands, climbing from 17th in 2020, and posting a 58-point improvement.

Mitsubishi Motors Partners with Nonprofit Charis Health Center to Reach Underserved Communities in Middle Tennessee

MMNA donated use of a Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) to Middle Tennessee-based nonprofit organization Charis Health Center as part of the company's Community Utility Vehicle (CUV) Program, which offers vehicle loans to nonprofit organizations making a difference in their local communities.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV loaned to Charis plays a critical role in the organization's efforts to vaccinate Tennesseans in high-risk, hard-to-reach and rural communities and deliver quality, compassionate healthcare and health education to those without insurance or the ability to pay for the services they need.

Mitsubishi Motors Supports Nationwide Eco-Tour with Outlander PHEV

MMNA partnered with Emergent Media to create "Soul Pursuits," a documentation of renowned filmmaker Erika Gilsdorf's year-long eco-tour across America in her 2020 Outlander PHEV.

Gilsdorf, who began her journey in early January, is spending 2021 traveling across the country, towing a custom tiny house and meeting inspiring people making a difference for their communities and for the planet.

Mitsubishi Motors Announces Palm Beach Dealership

In July 2021, MMNA held a grand opening celebration in Palm Beach, Fla., showcasing the new Palm Beach Mitsubishi's brand-new 14,700 square-foot facility, which has brought more than 35 new jobs to the local area.
