FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Mitsubishi Mirage, the most fuel-efficient, gas-powered non-hybrid car in America, enters the 2020 model year while continuing to offer the perfect mixture of strong value, versatility and reliable transportation for the masses at a pleasingly affordable price.

Upgraded Interior

All Mirage models feature a comfortable multifunction steering wheel, gloss black accents across the shift panel and climate controls and comfortable cloth seating materials throughout the cabin. All Mirage trims for 2020 now feature standard automatic climate control, making it the only vehicle in its class to offer this feature as standard equipment.

Buyers can also choose an optional 300-watt Rockford-Fosgate™ audio system across all trim lines. Moreover, Mirage customers can also choose an optional Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) audio system that boasts Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.

Purposefully Aerodynamic Exterior

The Mirage offers urban and rural drivers the best combination of versatility, practicality and outstanding efficiency thanks to a number of key design elements engineered into the vehicle. The bumper fascia features a chiseled crease for a very smooth airflow.

The shape of the rear bumper is optimized for optimal air flow, and the rear spoiler and side surfaces both help to reduce lift and drag. These aero enhancements help the 2020 Mirage achieve a very low coefficient of drag of only 0.27 (Cd).

Mirage also features high-tensile steel to key sections of its body and chassis, which gives the vehicle a very low curb weight of just 2,029 pounds, while also possessing excellent structural rigidity.

Responsive Horsepower for More Efficient Driving

The 2020 Mirage continues to utilize a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder DOHC engine featuring the latest version of Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) variable valve-timing system that maximizes fuel efficiency and power output while greatly minimizing exhaust emissions.

Mirage offers drivers a standard and efficient inline-three cylinder engine that produces 78 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 74 lb.-ft torque at 4,000 rpm.

With efficiency at its core, the three-cylinder Mitsubishi Mirage offers fuel economy of 36/43/39 city/highway/combined mpg when equipped with the optional continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Exemplary Safety Features

Every 2020 Mirage comes equipped with a wide array of safety features and technologies. These include a seven airbag Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) comprised of dual front airbags, dual front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, dual side-impact curtain airbags, and a driver's knee airbag; four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist; a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS); and Active Stability Control (ASC) with Traction Control Logic (TCL). Trim Levels and Warranty Information

The Mitsubishi Mirage continues to offer consumers the efficiency, reliability and conveniences they desire in a budget-friendly and easy-to-park package.

Buyers who choose the entry level ES trim can expect standard niceties including a five-speed manual transmission, adjustable driver and front passenger seats, a four-speaker, 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system and keyless entry with a built-in panic feature. For those who prefer not to row their own, an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) can be added to ES trims for $1,200.

Moving on up to the Mirage LE trim allows buyers to give their Mirage a stylish and tech-focused upgrade, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a standard CVT, standard 15-inch black alloy wheels, black side mirrors, red interior accents , standard heated front seats, and a 6.5-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) System with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.

Shoppers who select the SE trim receive further comfort and convenience features, including, FAST-Key passive entry system with push button start and panic feature, a driver's seat armrest, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 14-inch alloy wheels and fog lights.

Buyers who elect for the range-topping GT trim will enjoy standard High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, upgraded 15-inch two-tone alloy wheels and standard heated front seats.
