2019 Mitsubishi Outlander: Exterior enhancements and refined driving dynamics bolster celebrated CUV

CYPRESS, Calif. – The capable and functional Mitsubishi Outlander, the brand’s popular three-row crossover utility vehicle (CUV), enters 2019 with a host of refinements that offer consumers an improved driving experience in a capable package.

The 2019 Outlander features updated exterior styling tweaks, including an updated, clean and solid grille design that projects a wider and condensed execution of DYNAMIC SHIELD. A new functional lower bumper extension and chrome-accented skid guard offers increased protection and lends a more rugged appearance to the vehicle. LED Hi-beam headlights also join the roster for 2019. All 2019 Outlanders will be available in a new Pearl White exterior color, and also receive new, standard-equipment, 18-inch alloy wheels with a straight multi-spoke design.

Interior Tweaks Add Convenience and Comfort

The 2019 Outlander also features notable updates to its interior, with all trims receiving:

New front seat design that provides more comfort and support
Illuminated window switches on all doors and auto up/down capability on the driver’s door
Electric parking brake with auto-hold functionality
Enhanced interior panel quality and upgraded door trim accents
Rear seat air conditioning vents

SE, SEL and GT trims receive standard power driver and front-passenger front seats, and a rear USB port that connects to the standard Smartphone Link Display Audio System. Additionally, the SE trim receives new combination soft-touch seats, while SEL and GT trims receive new premium leather seats.

Engineering Enhancements Improve Driving Experience

The 2019 Outlander also receives several engineering and design improvements to reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). Special attention was paid in order to enhance cabin quietness and improve ride comfort, stability and overall vehicle handling.

The 2019 Outlander has received notable acclaim including a Kelley Blue Book “5-Year Cost to Own” award, and was named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK winner.
